My Dream Fuel Efficient Car

**This post is brought to you by Reedman Toll Philly FIAT dealer**

My family and I drove to Easton, PA this past weekend to do a review of the Crayola Experience.  Easton is near Philadelphia so we had about a 3 1/2 drive.  I don’t mind though, I actually prefer driving to flying.  I love taking in the scenes, seeing the names of towns along the way, seeing signs for points of interest along the way.  In our drive we passed Hershey, Harrisburg (our state capital), and Allentown where I had once did some of my fieldwork for college.  The only thing that would have made the drive a little more enjoyable would have been not having to pay so much for gas.  Having a big family, car selection is greatly narrowed down.  I like my car and it’s done well for me. I couldn’t help but see how many of the little FIATs there were on the road though.

Those tiny little cars have interested me since I started seeing the commercials.  Sometimes I think I’d like to jump in one all by myself and just drive just for some quiet me time.  I pointed a FIAT out to my husband at one of the turnpike booths while waiting in line.  I said “I think I’m going to get one of those kind of cars when the kids start leaving the house and we don’t need a big vehicle”  We had been talking about our future on the drive and goals for retirement (which is a long way off).

I was curious enough that I decided to look up some info about the FIAT.  I found Philly FIAT dealer, Reedman Toll who has quite the selection.   I was impressed with the 38  mpg highway and 30 city for the hatchback.  I’ll be honest I went off into my little daydream world picturing myself just driving, seeing the sites in one of these all by myself.  They have an espresso colored one I kinda like.  I don’t usually go for the “different” colors when it comes to cars but for some reason that one stood out to me.

Isn’t it cute?  If you were to get one, what color do you think you’d go for?

I Just Joined Amazon Mom

**This post does contain referral link.**

I had seen things about Amazon Mom briefly before, maybe through a tweet on twitter on a facebook update.  Then I came across an awesome deal on diapers in which I got 144 size 2 Huggies diapers for $7.54 and free 2 day shipping.  This of course was an amazing deal and my diapers arrived within 2 days.

So what is Amazon Mom?  It’s a deal for moms where you can save up to 20% on baby items on Amazon and you get 3 months of free 2 day shipping.  I have had a few Amazon credits so I totally took advantage of this and got the diapers.  I also may have started my Christmas shopping already.  I know, I know, no one wants to hear about Christmas yet but hey free 2 day shipping, why not?

When you sign up for Amazon Mom not only do you get the 3 months of free 2 day shipping but you also get $25 off your 1st purchase of diapers.  You’ll also have access to baby coupons that change periodically.  I get emails that tell me what the mom deals are and what coupons are currently available.  While the one offer is no longer available you can still get a good deal on some diapers.  You can see my “how-to” here: http://angiewith2.blogspot.com/2013/08/box-of-huggies-diapers-754-or-free.html The $5 off $25 offer is no longer available but still $12.54 for 144 Huggies diapers is not too shabby.

Just a note, if before the 3 months is up, you decide you don’t want to be a part of Amazon Mom anymore you’ll need to cancel it because after that they will charge $79 for the year for Amazon Prime.  If you shop Amazon a lot though, Amazon Prime is totally worth it.

Double Tap Jewelry on Instagram or Double Tap Sales Review

**I was initially asked to do a review in exchange for free jewelry and a payment but nothing was received for this post**

I was introduced to Double Tap Jewelry also known as Double Tap Sales through Sverve.  I’ve had a lot of good experiences with the companies I met through Sverve.  Unfortunately this is the first and only one I have not had a very good experience with.

I was engaged on the Double Tap Sales campaign a few months ago.  Unfortunately I don’t know the exact date because it seems that communications that are several months old aren’t available on Sverve.  I was trying to find the exact date.  Anywho, the idea is that you Follow Double Tap Jewelry on Instagram.  They post pictures of their jewelry they have for sale.  If you like something  you post “sold” with your email address and they paypal invoice you and then send you the jewelry you wanted once you pay.  The other thing is you have sign up for a membership. You get one month free then you’re charged $1.99 each month.  The jewelry is unique and I saw several pieces I like.  I was given a credit to received some jewelry in order to do a review.  I planned on talking about the process to order, the customer service, the shipping, and what the jewelry was actually like once received.  The process to let them know what you wanted was pretty easy.  They commented on their Instagram pic that they acknowledged what I wanted.
I’m angwith4 in the convo.  There was also a bracelet I had wanted with my credit.  I waited well over a month and never received the jewelry.  I received an email from them asking me when I was going to do the review.  I emailed back and told them i had not received the jewelry yet.  I was waiting to received the jewelry so I could do a review on the process of ordering, quality of the jewelry, etc.  I did not receive a reply and here at least another month later, still no jewelry.  The only reason I even thought of it today was because I received an email stating my membership to dtap sales had been canceled which is fine by me.  I can at least say they were kind enough to do that for me especially since I had trouble finding the site again.
Looking at Double Tap Jewelry instagram site there has not been any new jewelry listing since June 1, 2013. Since my membership was automatically canceled it makes me wonder if they are not shutting down perhaps.  I don’t know that for sure but as a consumer, you have to question it.
It’s a shame because they had very fashionable and unique jewelry that’s was very reasonably priced but after all is said, I can’t recommend this to anyone.
I was supposed to get the jewelry and a payment for a review post but I have not received either one.

Week 2 ProSkin Update

**I was given a pair of ProSkin leggings to complete the 28 day blogger challenge.  No other compensation has been received**

So it’s been just a little over 2 weeks now that I’ve been wearing the ProSkin leggings. If you’re not up to speed on what I’ve been doing, you can check out my “Starting the ProSkin 28 Day Blogger Challenge” post.

I told you I’ve been wearing them under my scrubs for work. I came home from work one day this past week.  I was holding my daughter as soon as I got in the door.  My son says, “Mom I’m gonna take a picture of you”  I said “Wait hold on, I’m gonna show my ProSkins so I can show them I really do wear them under my scrubs” lol.  That’s me, thinking about my posts.

So the question is did I lose anything from my 1 week update post?  Well here’s my measurements for week two.

belly: 34″  (So I lost 1/8 ” here. Not a lot but I did lose)
Hips 39.5 (stayed the same from last week)
Top of Thigh: 23 ” (lost an inch from last week, but as you’ll see I actually gained an inch after week to so in effect I’m actually back to my starting point)
Widest part of thigh: 22″ (stayed the same)
Above knee: 15.5″ (lost an inch from last week but back to starting point)
Below knee: 12.75″ (stayed the same)
widest part of calf: 13.5 (lost 1/4 inch)

Ok so again here is the moment to see if I actually lost any weight

I only lost 0.6 of a pound.  again not a big loss but I still lost.

I still like that they’re light weight.  The temps starting going up to the upper 70s and low 80s here again so they are a bit warm to wear when the temps are like that.  I think I’ll really be loving these in the fall and winter.  I don’t mind wearing them under my scrubs though because they crank the air conditioning up at work.

Only 2 more weeks to go so we’ll see what happens.

We Went to The Crayola Experience in Easton, PA

**I was provided with free tickets for my family from the Crayola Experience in exchange for an honest review.  No other compensation has been received**

The Crayola Experience in Easton, PA is a place I’ve been wanting to take my family too for a while now.  It’s located here in PA.  I think it appeals to everyone in my family from my husband and I too my baby girl.  Crayola has been around for a long time.  I think we’ve all had some type of Crayola products in our life at one time or another. The fact that Crayola makes you think of colors and imagination, well I couldn’t wait to see what was in store for us at the Crayola Experience.  Even if you’ve been before, they added 18 new activities this year so it would be worth another trip.

There was a parking garage located right across the street with a reasonable rate ($2 per hour).  There was also meter parking along the street.  Easton itself was a very clean and beautiful town with a variety of restaurants and shops nearby.  We stayed at the Comfort Inn on Nazareth Road which was only a couple minute drive from the Crayola Experience.

One of the first things we say in the Crayola Cafe was the world’s largest crayon weighing in at 1500 lbs and 15 ft long.

The Crayola Cafe had light food like sandwiches, salads, soft pretzels, and drinks available.  Fairly reasonably priced for a place like this.  There were bright colors every where you went.

My son is 4 and one of his favorite parts was the “Doodle in the Dark” section.  The room was dimmed and there were all kinds of hands on and active stations in this room.

There were these boards in the “Doodle in the Dark” section which made glow in the dark pictures.  There was also a floor the kids could go on that had different activities like games, coloring pages, and music activities.  A lot of the kids of all ages had fun with this.  In the picture below the game had balloons everywhere and when you stepped on the balloons they popped and you got points.

The other activity in this room included a screen with colored squares on the floor.  When you stepped into one of the squares there Crayola man on the screen woke up.  When you moved the crayon guy would move like you.  So if you waved he would wave and so on.  My son could have spent an hour there.

My husband and I both enjoyed the “Art Alive” activity.  The room had a bunch of touch screen tablets.  You could choose a coloring page, color it on the screen, choose an animation, and when you were done it would appear on a big screen on the wall.  My son loved this too.

My diver I colored is on the bottom by the crab.  My son’s fish he colored is hard to see because of the color he used.  His is the fish colored in the aqua blue next to the orange fish by the crayon diver.  There was a large indoor playground too with lots of levels.  The parents could sit on benches or there were tables set u where you could color a picture and then turn it into a puzzle for no additional cost.  Around the play area there were squares on the floor that were like pavement but soft.  They had buckets of Crayola sidewalk chalk on the ground and you could draw on the floor.  I took the time to make my mark.

There were 4 floors of activities.  There were many projects you could work on and take home with you.  The meltdown hand tables with containers of melted crayons that you could grab a card stock car and paint using a stick with melted crayons.  When you first enter and buy your tickets you are given tokens to use in the machines like the Marker Maker and “Wrap it Up” which allowed you to choose certain colors of crayons and make a custom label.  You could have it say whatever you wanted.  I made one for each of my kids with their name on it.  You could also choose a symbol to put next to the name.  It dispensed a crayon and label. You could walk over to a table and it gave you simple instructions on how to wrap your crayon.  I ran into an issue when we put in a token.  It dispensed the wrappers but not the crayon.  An attendant was available and quickly fixed it and gave us out tokens back.  She was very friendly and helped a few people with different things while we were in that area.

summer 2013 002

We were there for 3 1/2 hours and still didn’t get to try everything they had available. The one thing I would have liked to have seen but didn’t was the crayon making demonstration.  There was a lot of activities we did that would just make this post a mile long but I think you get the idea.
