Taking the Jump to WordPress

I’m just writing this post to update you all. I decided to take the leap (after chickening out earlier this year) but I finally committed to transferring my blog to wordpress self hosting. I have Wack Jacquis Designs doing the transfer for me. I’m thinking she’ll be starting soon. Not sure exactly how long that process takes but if you happen to notice anything funky going on with the blog in the near future here, that’s what is happening. I decided to take the jump for a number of reasons and once I figure out my way around wordpress I’ll do a post about that too. If anyone else has done the jump, I’d love some words of encouragement or advice!

One of my fave products that they offer are the Date it! Labels. Seriously some of the most useful things for the kitchen. I used them to label my homemade baby food, leftovers so I know how long they’ve been in there, and food I take to parties. They are reusable, washable, dishwasher and microwaves safe, and come with a special pencil to write on them. The writing comes right off when you wash the container.

Pacific Rim on Blu-Ray Giveaway!

I remember seeing the trailer for the movie. I know it was a movie my husband wanted to see. Unfortunately we don’t make it to the movies very often. Most of our movie watching is done at home on DVD or On-Demand. I know the hubs and I will be having a movie night now that Pacific Rim will be out on DVD and Blu-ray on Oct. 15
Directed by Guillermo del Toro, Pacific Rim is an epic science fiction film set in the 2020s. Earth is at war with Kaijus; colossal monsters from an inter-dimensional gateway on the Pacific Ocean floor. Humanity unites to fight these huge monsters by creating the Jaegers: gigantic humanoid robots that are controlled by two pilots whose minds and memories are linked. The story takes place in the later days of the war, following Raleigh Becket, a former Jaeger pilot called out of retirement and paired up with newbie pilot Mako Mori in a final effort to defeat the Kaijus!
