Lady,
if I were you, I’d get the hell away from here ‘cause when I make
it up this hill, I’m gonna be looking for you.” Lucky Coalson’s
luck has run out. His ex-wife turned out to be a con artist; his
business is in a shambles, and he’s been tossed into a muddy river
by a smart assed feminist with a chip on her shoulder. Things
couldn’t get much worse…or so he thought.

When
Lucky’s accused of murdering his ex-wife, the Coalson family
enlists the help of a private investigator to gather the clues
necessary to prove his innocence. Little did they know that Renee
Morgan is the same woman that sent Lucky scrambling up a sodden river
bank at the height of a storm.

The
two square off immediately, but Renee’s admiration of the Coalson
family, despite her dislike of Lucky, is the deciding factor in her
acceptance of the job. And although Lucky bristles every time she
speaks, he grudgingly respects her intelligence and savvy skills as a
private investigator.

As
the hunt for the killer escalates, the two find they are not the only
ones looking for the mysterious assassin. And the other people are
more than willing to take out anyone that gets in their way,
including those that Lucky and Renee hold dear to their hearts.

In
a moment of passion that rocks them to the core, they realize their
love may be forged in fire, but both have been badly burned by past
lovers, and too stubborn to admit the truth. Can they find a way
around their fears, or will Lucky’s ex-wife continue to plague him
from the grave?

Excerpt from Whistlin’ Dixie
Dixie heard Mac just on the other side of the bedroom door. She wanted to run and hide.
She needed to lick her wounds and come to grips with what a fool she had been to trust Mac and
his kisses. She didn’t want to listen to reason. She was hurting too badly and nothing he could
say or do would erase the picture indelibly printed on her mind of him in the arms of another
woman.
So when Mac knocked softly on the door minutes later, she turned a deaf ear to his plea.
“Dixie, please let me in. I want to explain what you saw,” Mac whispered.
Oh my God! Did he think she was blind? Or just plain stupid? Or so deeply enamored of
him that she was gonna let this stand?
“I saw what I saw. I took biology. I know all about sexual reproduction. Please leave.”
She was privately amazed she was able to carry on any kind of conversation with the two timing
jerk. She congratulated herself on how collected she’d been, considering her temper was
threatening to erupt again.
Knocking again a little more forcefully, he pleaded. “Dixie baby, please open up. You
didn’t see what you thought you saw. Please. Just let me explain.”
“I may be young, but I’m not stupid. And I am most certainly not blind,” she snapped at
him from the other side of the door. The man was unbelievable.
“You are the most infuriating bit of baggage I have ever encountered. If I didn’t care for
you so much, I’d leave right now and never look back.”
“You call that caring?! I call it a line of crap! The only thing you cared about begins with
an “F” and ends with me losing my virginity!” Oh, God! Had she really just shouted that?
Pounding on the door with his fist, he shouted, “Dixie Harris, you open the door this
minute, or I’ll break it down!”
“Then I’ll just have you arrested for breaking and entering. Sort of ironic, don’t you
think?” she countered sweetly. She felt like crying the Mississippi River because he broke her
heart, but she was not going to let that arrogant pain-in-the-ass know just how much she was
hurting. She had her pride!
“Fine. Just fine. I should’ve known better than to get involved with a little girl, anyhow.
Maybe, in a few years, when you grow up and if you have apologized nicely, I might just take
you back! And bring a damn soapbox to stand on. My neck’s getting sore from looking down at
you!” he snarled. After giving the closed-door another good pounding, he stomped out of the
house, slamming the front door.
“Oooooh!” Dixie’s eyes narrowed to mere slits and her hands balled into fists as Mac’s
last remark registered with the banging of the screen door. It was like pouring gasoline on a
bonfire. She was out of her bedroom and on the front porch in seconds. Heedless of the peoplewalking down the street, she advanced like a mad woman across the yard, screaming.
“Apologize to you? When pigs fly, you Mississippi River rat. I wasn’t the one caught fornicating
in the parking lot of the local pizza parlor. Hell will freeze over before I apologize.”
Mac saw her coming out on the front porch, and he started toward her, but the smugness
left his face, however, with each shouted word. By the time she was finished with her tirade,
Mac’s eyes were tempered steel and his face was set granite. “Well, the Devil better get ready for
a heat wave, baby, because I feel the same way.”
He hopped in his truck and with a squeal of tires, he was gone.

Kayden
McLeod is a paranormal and fantasy author, who dreams big, and writes
bigger. She gets her inspirations from all manners of life and events
that surround her. She is best known for her paranormal books, the
Coven Series. Now, she embarks on new adventures in the dark world of
Shadowdyn, found in the pages of the Demon Queen Series. As well, she
has started to write her first YA fantasy books under the name Kinsey
Knight.
She
is an award winning Cover and Graphic Artist, and the co-owner of

art for a variety of publishers, although her freelance makes up
most of her portfolio.

He circled me, and I rotated with him. “Come now, Katrina. Tell me, have you ever done
anything truly exhilarating, pushing past your limits until you couldn’t see them anymore?
Something that made your heart race, adrenaline pumping through you?”
The naughty answer that flashed in my mind never left my mouth. But it flashed in my
eyes. My cheeks burned. He threw his head back and laughed.
“Okay, perhaps the wrong description. Ever jumped out of a plane?”
“Hell no.”
“Bungee jumped?”
“Now you’re just teasing me.”
“True. Okay. Realism I can do. Ridden a roller coaster?”
“No. I don’t trust those things.”
He stopped. So did I.
“Is there anything you do trust?” He said. Yeah, Lola. But that went without saying. “It’s
time for a change, Katrina. It’s time for you to step out of your suffocating box. Life isn’t life,
until you live it.”
“By jumping off of a cliff?”
“For you, baby steps are necessary.” He turned me around and pointed over the edge. “To
feel the wind running through your hair, caressing your skin. The freefall is how you break free
from oppression.” He wrapped his fingers around my wrist, and walked around me. “Take a leap
of faith. Find your freedom. Live.”
Oh my God, he pouted. He actually stuck out that temptingly full bottom lip and batted
his eyelashes!
“I’m afraid of heights.”“Ahh, fear. Mankind’s greatest crippling block. Fear is of the unknown, until you crash
through barriers, take fate by the hair and make her your bitch.”
Now that’s a visual for you.
“And if I break something?”
“We’re hitting deep water down there, not concrete. I wouldn’t ask you to do something,
if there was a chance you would hurt yourself. I’ve jumped much higher.”
“Only you could make a rational argument out of this.”
“Is that a yes?”
“If I die, I’ll kill you.” No, the contradiction was not lost on me.
“I will keep you safe, Katrina. I gave you my protection. That is no small thing.”
I rolled my eyes to hide my nervousness. “Fine. Let’s do this.”
“I promise you won’t regret this.”
I snickered. “You promise a lot.”
“I never break my promises. Once you get to know me, you will understand what honor
and integrity mean to me.”
I swallowed. “Yeah, yeah. Let’s plummet to our impending death before I lose my
nerve.”
“My, my. I think I am insulted with your pessimism. Tomorrow, we shall work on that.”
He didn’t give me a chance to reply. He yanked on my arm, and we ran at the cliff full
speed.

Upon a Midnight Quarrel
I am thrilled to share a little bit about some of the characters in Jaguar. There is more than one threat the
main couple must encounter. Along with their friends, they will battle to be on top.
The supporting characters of Jaguar are just as important as the main couple.
Katrina’s best friend Lola, is the comic relief, the antithesis of Kat. She has a surefire wit, and an unique
view of the world. Syber is Kalvyn’s right hand man, his advisor and friend. He feels protective of the
willowy woman. This relationship weaves a tight friendship among the four.
On the flip side, we have Bianca and Sadie. Kalvyn took them in as orphans. Bianca is a conniving,
selfish being, who clawed her way to the top, and into Kalvyn’s bed. However, Kalvyn saw her for what
she was: a bully. He broke up with her, but didn’t cast Bianca and Sadie out. The women plot to regain
their foothold, regardless what Kalvyn wanted.
The dynamic distracts them from the very real threat in the wood. At the very edges of society is a group
of people who know what Kalvyn and his friends are. And they are on the way to wipe them all from the
face of the earth.

October, fall is in the air, fall decor and halloween decorations are popping up around the neighborhood, everything else turns pink for breast cancer awareness, and some start thinking about fall cleaning.  If you’re like me fall cleaning also includes organizing.  Thirty-One makes it easy to organize just about anything in fun designs and options in all sizes.

My Thirty-One representative is Divya Johnson and she is amazing.  I’ve been a customer of hers for a couple years now.  She didn’t get to the level she has achieved with Thirty-One by being lax.  No she is all about her customers and loves Thirty-One.

Before Divya, I thought Thirty-One was a little to expensive for my needs. But Divya has great suggestions, fantastic offers, and cash and carry items to help you to get what you really want.  I really dislike having parties, mostly because I feel like very few people participate in my parties so I gave up.  But Divya has this awesome Hostess of the Month program that allowed me to make a lot of progress towards my home organization goals and have a successful party.  My party hit $800 with her!  I’ve never had a party for anything hit $800!  Because of that I was able to get a ton of stuff for free or half price to start organizing my bathroom closet.

I’m so excited about the October customer specials.  For the month of October when you spend $35 you can get 1 medium utility tote for $15 or 2 medium utility totes for $20!  I’m definitely going for the 2.  I still have sheets and blankets in my bathroom closet that need organized!  Just look at the fun holiday designs too!  I’m drawn to shiny, metallic, and glittery things so the Frosted Gold Metallic or Snowy Slopes is speaking to me!  Which one would you choose?

The holidays will be here before we know it.  Divya has great ideas for holiday gifts.  Seriously, she is so creative. The best way to get creative gift giving ideas, be the first to know about sales, and more is to join Divya’s Thirty-One facebook page.  She also does fun events like Divya’s 31 Survivor, Hostess of the month, and more giving lots of opportunity to get a lot of Thirty-One products!

Smokejumpers #1

Genre: Romantic Suspense

Date:

Meg
Buchanan is determined to prove she didn’t get the trainer job in
Redmond, Oregon’s rookie smokejumper class because of her family’s
long history as firefighters there—or out of pity. But if teaching
one of her own brothers isn’t challenging enough, Lance Roberts is
in the new class of recruits. Once her brother’s best friend, and
her first, unrequited crush, he’s also the son of the man
responsible for her dad’s death.
Lance is stunned to
realize that this confident redhead is the stubborn girl he once
dreamed about. There’s no way he can fall for her now. He needs to
focus all his attention on his training—and discovering the truth
about the long-ago fire that killed both of their fathers. But as the
undeniable heat between them threatens to ignite, someone attempts to
put an end to Lance’s amateur sleuthing—and his life…

Award-winning
author and RITA® finalist Marnee Blake used to
teach high school students but these days she only has to wrangle her
own children. Originally from a small town in Western Pennsylvania,
she now battles traffic in southern New Jersey where she lives with
her hero husband and their happily-ever-after: two very energetic
boys. When she isn’t writing, she can be found refereeing disputes
between her children, cooking up something sweet, or hiding from
encroaching dust bunnies with a book.

Chapter 1

Driving from Bend to the smokejumper base in Redmond, Oregon, was like traveling back in
time. It only took a half an hour, but the trip set Meg Buchanan back ten years.
As she pulled into the parking lot of Redmond Air Center, the tires of her Forerunner
crunching on the dirt and gravel drive, she repeated the pep talk she’d been giving herself the
entire ride.
She had the job. She was officially an assistant trainer and safety instructor for this year’s
Redmond smokejumper rookie training.
She wasn’t a firefighter, but she was a physician’s assistant with lots of practical medical
knowledge. She was qualified. More importantly, she was a seasoned triathlete. She was in tiptop
shape, and she definitely could run some rookies through their paces. Add her willingness to do
the job for barely any money and her uncle’s glowing recommendation, and she’d been
approved.
That was her mantra. She could do this. She had the skills. She’d been approved.
She refused to accept that she’d been given this job because of her last name.
Sure, Will, her oldest brother, was an active Redmond smokejumper, and Uncle Joe was the
base manager. Her middle brother, Hunter, would be in this year’s rookie class. Together, they
made a pretty impressive Buchanan family legacy at Redmond.
But, if she’d received preferential treatment, it was because her father’s name—Jason
Buchanan—rested on the memorial wall at the base, along with the other firefighters who’d
given their lives in sacrifice to this job.
After shifting the truck into park, Meg dropped her hands into her lap and abandoned that train
of thought. No use tempting the universe by spilling doubt and negative energy all over it. She
had the experience, and she was going to give this job everything she had.
This was her chance.
She’d never been able to become a firefighter like her brothers. After hours of counseling, she
couldn’t overcome her paralyzing fear of fire. But, this? She could do this. These rookies were in
for the training of their lives.
And she’d finally feel like she was honoring her birthright.
With a deep breath, she checked her reflection in the rearview mirror. She’d pulled her red hair
into a low ponytail and applied light makeup. Dressed in tan slacks and a pale pink blouse, she
looked more like she was seeing patients than reporting for a physical trainer position. She was
more comfortable, though, professionally dressed, put together.
If things were orderly on the outside, the inside would follow. She’d learned that lesson years
ago, after her father’s death. Her mother had cried, and their home fell to pieces. When people
showed up with food and condolences, the disaster in the house amplified how broken they were.
Dishes in the sink, overflowing laundry baskets. Sleep eluded Meg those first nights, so she

washed dishes, did laundry, and dusted until her body gave out. The next day, she’d cooked to
fill the silence. The days stretched on, and no one ate unless they were reminded.
Eventually, though, the movements of normalcy made her feel more normal.
Fake it ‘til you make it, her mom had joked. She’d never taken that advice, but it had worked
for Meg. Pretend until the lie matched reality.
She exhaled slowly, pursing her lips. With shaking fingers, she smoothed her perfectly tidy
hair once more, nodding at her reflection. She had this.
Snagging her wallet and phone off the passenger seat, she tossed them into her well-worn gym
bag and zipped it up. Slinging it over her shoulder, she gripped the straps to her chest like a
shield and opened the truck door.
Gravel bit into her ballet flats, but she ignored the discomfort. Around her, the parking lot was
full of pickup trucks and Jeeps, a few larger SUVs and late-model sedans, and even an Econovan
thrown in for good measure. The van had curtains. She wouldn’t be surprised if its owner lived
out of it.
There were a few guys unloading their cars, yanking duffel bags and equipment from trunks.
Most of them were in their twenties and thirties. All of them were in amazing shape. The
uniform seemed to be a mix of camo, Under Armor, and facial hair. A couple of the men paused
to watch her walk by.
Maybe she should have put on her running clothes, some track pants. She looked as out of
place in her business clothes as a peacock at a rhino tea party.
Her eyes straight forward, she hiked her bag higher on her shoulder and picked up her pace. As
she approached the door, her uncle stepped out.
“Meggy.” His smile, buried under a few days of beard growth, was as warm as always. Her
shoulders relaxed in response. “You’re early.”
She stepped into his open arms. Uncle Joe gave the best hugs. “They pulled back on my hours
last week in preparation for my time here. I finished earlier than expected today.”
He leaned out of their embrace, scowling at her. “You’re sure this won’t affect your position
with Dr. Colman, right? They’ll let you return when training is over?”
She grinned at him. “I told you. Dr. Colman is happy that I’m helping. She’s fine.” It had
taken a little sweet talking, playing up how good of a community outreach opportunity this was
and promising to pick up shifts on the weekends while she was at the air center. Patrice Colman
recognized a good deal when she saw it. She’d wanted to start opening on Saturdays for months,
so she hadn’t passed up this opportunity. But, Meg wasn’t about to tell Uncle Joe that.
He patted her shoulder. “That’s good, then. I’m not going to answer to your mom if this
impacts your career.”
Meg stiffened. “I’m twenty-five, Uncle Joe. I manage myself.” Besides, they both knew her
mother hadn’t managed much of anything in years.
Joe nodded. “Right. Well, your brothers should be here soon. Do you want me to show you
around?”
She laughed. “It’s been a while, but I think I know where I’m going.” She and her brothers had
visited her father here often. Years ago, her mother would bring the smokejumpers cookies,
muffins, whatever. She used to love to bake, and it gave her an excuse to see her husband. These
days, the only time her mother’s oven heated was for the Sunday dinners Meg cooked for them.
Meg scanned the exterior of the air center. “Place hasn’t changed.” Ten years later, but the air
center looked the same. Behind the hangar, the airfield stretched across the open field. The

Cascade Mountains filled the horizon. Here, without the multi-story buildings in Bend, the peaks
were in full, majestic view.
“Why ruin a good thing?” He chuckled, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. “Come on.
Let’s get you settled.”
As he guided her to the door, the rumble of an engine made her pause.
Either the Jeep that turned into the parking lot needed a new muffler or its owner wanted
everyone to hear him coming. As it parked, everyone in the lot had stopped to look. Which
meant this truck wasn’t a regular fixture at the air center’s lot.
She sniffed. Apparently, the diva of this year’s class had arrived.
The Jeep’s engine died, and its doors swung open. Like the other men in the lot, the one who
jumped down from the passenger side was in excellent shape. He was probably six-two or so,
and his T-shirt did nothing to hide the cords of muscle on his wide shoulders. But, it wasn’t the
passenger that snagged her attention.
The driver slammed his door and strode to the back liftgate. She didn’t see his face, only the
back of him, but his gait was familiar, with more swagger than his passenger. He was as tall as
the other man, and just as broad-shouldered and slim-hipped. The tilt of his head as he tossed a
few bags onto the ground, the set of his shoulders as he closed the back of the Jeep, though…if
returning to the Redmond base was a blast from the past, this man was a punch to the gut.
“Lance.”
She didn’t realize she said his name out loud until Joe grunted. “Yes. Lance Roberts.”
Meg hadn’t needed his confirmation. She’d know Lance anywhere. After ten years, her body
hadn’t forgotten watching him, wishing he was hers, with the added misfortune of embodying
the “little sister in love with brother’s best friend” cliché.
Hard to forget embarrassment like that.
Lance the boy had been the stuff of her girlhood dreams, and more than a few other girls’
dreams, too. As she watched, he grabbed his bags off the ground and the muscles of his forearms
tightened. Heat stretched up her spine, warming her stomach.
Lance the man probably occupied more than a few women’s dreams now as well.
Meg spun sideways, not wanting to be caught staring at him. “What’s he doing here?” she
whispered. She smoothed the end of her ponytail, and then tugged at her blouse, straightening
imaginary wrinkles.
Catching herself, she squeezed her fingers together in front of her, forcing them still.
“Now, Meggy. I need you to be open-minded. And, I need your help with your brothers…”
Joe’s head dropped, and he rubbed the back of his head.
“Joe, what have you done?” There were only so many reasons that Lance would be here, at the
air center, right now…
“I offered Lance a job, if he makes it through training.” His half grin looked pained. “He’ll be
in this year’s rookie training class.”

Crescent
Creek Book 1

At
eighteen, DJ had to make a choice–her heart or her dreams. Neither
was wrong, yet either would break her heart. She chose the world.
Over a decade later, she returns to Crescent Creek and to the one
regret she’s ever had–Scott. Scott’s always been steady as a
rocky reef. He’d loved once and when she’d left, his strong heart
had crumbled like a sandcastle. Now DJ is back, and Scott wants
nothing to do with her. The problem? They share Eva, a close friend
of both, and now Eva needs their help. Because of her, he’s stuck
with DJ and he’d be damned, the woman still gets under his skin. DJ
is a free spirit who needs the road under her feet. Scott is a family
man who wants to groom his roots. With danger on their doorstep and a
baby to keep safe, how much are they willing to compromise for love?

Crescent
Creek Book 0.5

He’s
impulsive, fearless, and fun loving.

Erik
Axelsson, Ax, had it all: talent, fame, money. He’d lived the rock
& roll life fully and with gusto until it wasn’t fun anymore.
Without a second thought, he’d traded the spotlight with the
Floridian sun, and the guitar with a surfboard. Rich, and free from
anything – what more he could need?

She’s
innocent, scared, and in trouble.

Andrea
Smith escaped the life imposed to her when her parents joined a cult.
After years on the run, hunger pushed her to accept a stranger’s
offer for breakfast. She had no clue her life changed with that
simple ‘yes’.

But
the past catches up with her, forcing Andrea to choose what person
she wants to be: the scared cult member that obeyed in silence, or
the new woman Erik made blossom.

Beach
bum and country music addicted, Viviana lives in a small Floridian
town with her husband and her son, her die-hard fans and personal
cheer squad. She spends her days between typing on her beloved
keyboard, playing in the pool with her boy, and eating whatever her
husband puts on her plate (the guy is that good, and she really loves
eating). Besides beaching, she enjoys long walks, horse-riding,
hiking, and pretty much whatever she can do outside with her family.

Chapter 1
Crescent Creek, early July.
With no fight left in him, Aidan Murphy sank down on the wooden floor of his home studio.
Done.
Aidan filled his burning sight with the finished, almost 7 feet tall piece of art. Hell to work on, pure and
simple, but it couldn’t be helped, not when it had called to him with such powerful voice.
Two weeks earlier, he’d been wandering around the stone-site when his skin began humming, and his
heart beating faster. Years of sculpting had taught him how to hear the calling, the silent scream of whatever
form lay trapped inside the rocks begging him to free it.
He’d followed his guts like so many times before and laying a palm on the cold, white alabaster, had
known something waited in there. He’d bought the squared monstrosity, never stopped working on it since
the day it had been delivered to his address. At every bite of the masonry blade, at every kiss of the chisel
and caress of the rasp, its voice had been easier to hear, pushing him, constantly pushing him to keep going,
keep working.
A couple had emerged from the stone and if beauty could hurt, by God, this one would in so many ways.
Those two people were set to break any viewer’s heart. Nothing happy or gleeful about them, nothing about
being lost in the fallacy of love; the pair stood in a tight embrace made of disillusion and reality. Rightfully
so, because wasn’t love just that? Another form of pain? A delusion?
Aidan shook his head. Whatever love was for the average person, these two people he’d given life to
scratched at the thick walls of his reticent heart. He didn’t care for such shit.
Much smarter to focus on his very real, very tired body.
Too bad the small motherfucker rock poked at the edge of his consciousness, staring from the opposite
side of the room.
Not the colossal couple he’d just freed from alabaster. Oh, no, the one giving him attitude was a stupid
overgrown pebble slightly smaller than his fist. Why was it even in the house? He’d cut outside, it made no
sense for it to be there. “Shut the fuck up,” he grumbled, rubbing exhausted eyes with scarred, dirty hands.
Never a stone’s call had been left unanswered, but… fuck it, it was too much, too soon. He needed time
to return human before starting a new project and besides, what could possibly be inside that little piece of
shit? A fucking bug? “Fuck off.”
Of course, the nagging didn’t stop.
Ignoring the silent pull to the useless stone, he got up, walked to the other side of the room, picked it up
and all but crashed it on his desk. “Better leave it alone, matey. Next time you bug me, I’ll turn you into
sable. Ugly fucker.”
Aches pulsed and hissed everywhere; a thin layer of dust, crumble of wax, and sweat covered him, made
his skin prickle. For all the good clothes had done to him, he might as well work buck naked next time.
Back in front of the new statue he stood, hands on hips, looking at it–tall and strong, fiercely beautiful in
its message of pain. Perfect.A sudden ray of light stabbed his eyes, made him jerk his head in protection. Fucking morning sun. Or
afternoon sun. He had no clue. It was hard to tell the passing of time when he got lost in the wild, strenuous
journey into the heart of a rock.
How many days had gone since it had been delivered and he’d started working on it, four? Probably
more as not bruising the stone had slowed everything down. He’d heard fireworks in the distance, so
Independence Day had come and gone. Hard to say how long had passed after it.
For days he’d eaten bread straight from the plastic bag or some other easy crap when hunger punched his
stomach; had drank lukewarm water from bottles scattered everywhere; slept on the couch when he made it
so far from the sculpture, although most of the times he’d pass out on the hard floor until discomfort woke
him up, and he’d go back at the rock again.
Ah, but what an adventure, he thought with awe as he ran a hand over the side of the sculpted woman.
Now he was done, meaning he didn’t want to have anything to do with stones for the near future.
He took a sharp intake of air when the little rock on his desk poked at his mind again. No clue as to
when but at some point, the cleaning crew would come, let’s see how the rock would like it. “If I throw you
back on the floor, they will get rid of you. That’s right, they’ll throw you away,” he croaked, his damned
throat hurting from not having talked in days.
Aidan sat down, stretched his aching legs in front of him, and tried to lean back on his arms; his muscles
screamed in protest.
Shit, he was in pieces, worse than usual.
Giving up, he laid on the dirty floor and closed his eyes–they scratched like sandpaper.
Bed. He craved a bed more than the next breath. Decent food. A shower. After that, the little stone
would stop being a bitch and leave him alone. It was only a fucking pebble, a leftover from the couple and
too small to have anything special in it, anyway.
He’d wait five minutes, no more, and he’d get up, order food, hit the shower and, finally, pass out on a
real bed. Satisfied with the carved couple, clean, and with a full belly.
Just five more minutes.
