Compare cash back sites to save the most money

I love cash back and rewards sites when it comes to shopping online.  Whether you get actual cash or points to trade in for gift cards, it can be a great bonus for doing the online shopping you intended to do anyway.  Everyone seems to have their favorite one and that’s alright.  BUT, did you know that you might be missing out on cash back by not double checking on the other sites?

I actually use about 4 different cash back/reward sites on a regular basis. You might be thinking, what’s the point?  But if you haven’t compared for your fave stores or assumed you couldn’t get cash back at a lesser known store, you might be missing out on some free money.

Ebates Coupons and Cash Back

Let me give you an example.  I LOVE Ebates, I mean love it.  But when my son found a deal on an air soft gun he wanted at hobbytron.com I checked Ebates first before I bought it.  Hobbytron wasn’t even a participating retailer.  Just for the hay of it I checked another site I’ve been using recently, BeFrugal.com, and guess what..hobbytron was a participating retailer on BeFrugal.

Another example, I was an EdenFantasys blogger for a while.  I would get their gift cards.  Mypoints, Ebates, and BeFrugal did not have them as a participating vendor.  BUT ShopatHome.com did and it wasn’t just a little bit, it’s 10% cash back!! So I was get 10% cash pack on the gift card I got for free!  How awesome is that?

It’s not just about which one has or doesn’t have retailers either.  The cash back or reward amount can also differ between reward sites.  Just one example, Ebates offers 2% cash back when you shop at Target where BeFrugal offer up to 4% cash back at Target.  Ok not a huge difference but it adds up over time.  It’s also a good idea to double check because sometimes the cash back sites will offer special deals. Ebates has a daily deal where one site might be offering double cash back for that day.  They also recently just had double cash back at 500+ stores for both black friday and cyber monday.

It’s not that you’re being disloyal. I mean, isn’t the point of using one of these sites to save some money?  I’m not telling you you need to go sign up for every reward site you see (unless you want to) but I think it’s a good idea to be a member of at least 3 to compare before you buy.
