DreamWorks Pictures, film People Like Us is teaming up with Sprinkles Cupcakes to promote the new film with events at 10 different Sprinkles Cupcakes stores around the country. This promotion will run from May 2 to June 29, 2012. It’s being centered around 5 family oriented holidays
-Brothers and Sisters day on May 2
-Mother’s Day on May 13
-Visit your relatives day on May 18
-Father’s Day on June 17
-National Forgiveness Day on June 26
On these designated “People Like Us” holidays, Sprinkles Cupcakes in all 10 locations will give out a free cupcake to each customer that comes in between 12 noon and 2 pm and says the movie title “People Like Us”. Customers will also be able to vote for their favorite flavor online for the official “People Like Us” flavor. The winning flavor will be announced the week of the film’s opening. Customers will also be able to pick up punch cards in Sprinkles stores redeemable on the designated “People Like Us” family holidays for a free cupcake.

Also, it’s not just free cupcakes! People Like Us branded coffee trucks or carts will be at various locations on Brothers and Sisters day, May 2 for the start of the promotion , with free coffee too!
People Like Us is a drama/comedy inspired by true events. Sam (played by Chris Pine) is a 20 something salesman who’s latest deal collapses on the day his estranged father dies suddenly. Against his wishes, Sam is called home to get his father’s estate in ordered and reconnect with his estranged family. While fulfilling his fathers wishes he finds out he has a 30 year old sister, Franki, (played by Elizabeth Banks). As their relationship develops he is forced to re-examine his own life choices and rethink his relationship with his family.
The film releases in US theaters on June 29. Rated PG 13
They opened the world’s first cupcake store in Beverly Hills, California. Founded by Candace Nelson, judge on Food Networks show “Cupcake Wars”. Sprinkles cupcakes are made from only the finest ingredients with no trans fats, no artificial flavors, and no preservatives. They sell their cupcake mixes at over 250 William Sonoma stores in the US and Canada as well as having 10 stores in the US and a traveling cupcake truck. The also developed the world’s first “cupcake ATM” and continued their classic American desserts with Sprinkles Ice Cream.
