Review Boscia products

I had never heard of Boscia products before this review. I found Boscia while surfing the internet one day. Boscia products are preservative free and botanically based skin care per Boscia’s website. Boscia products use 100% natural fragrance and colors, no animal testing, no animal ingredients, and tested by Dermatologists. You can read about Boscia’s Philosophy here: Click here to read Bosica’s Philosophy

Boscia was so generous as to send me not 1, not 2, but 5 products to review. The first thing I will say is the prices are a bit much for me. When I was able to review them, I thought this would be a great way for me (and of course, you), to know if it’s worth spending the money on.

1. Boscia Clear Complexion Tonic with Botanical Blast: For Problem Skin

Yea this is for me.  Product description: contains Sasa Kurilensis Water that according to Boscia Suppresses sebum production.  Willow Bark that Boscia says “refines the look of pores”, and Lavender and Serine “to maintain skin moisture and leave skin feeling soft”.

You spritz this on your face after you cleanse. It is a very refreshing feeling.  It has a light scent that is very pleasant.  What I liked about this products?:  A clarifying product that actually makes your skin feel soft not dried out.
Price $19

2. Boscia Enlivening Amino-AG Eye Treatment

This product has amino acids and the antioxidant jojoba leaf, Coix Seed and Vitamine E, Willowherb, and Jujube Fruit. Not familiar with most of these botanicals but, all in all, this product is supposed to help with hydrating the eye area, prevent signs of aging, reduce puffiness and dark circles, as well as help with cell renewal and smooth fine lines.  You only need a small dot of this translucent gel like eye treatment.  This bottle goes a long way.  The gel felt cool to me when applied. What I like about this product?:  I’ve been using these products for a little over 2 weeks.  I’ve been using the eye gel each morning and evening before bed. I feel that my eyes do look brighter and more rested. While I’m only 30 I do have some fine lines starting around my eyes. I will continue to use this product.  Price $38

3. Boscia Clear Complexion Treatment with Botanical Blast:  For problem skin

I’m a 30 year old who still breaks out like a teenager in my T-zone.  I’ve said it before and I wish I could stop saying it.  Until then, these types of products are for me. This products helps to “control oil, clear breakouts, and maintain a clear complexion.”

I have to tell you that I constantly, and I mean constantly, have at least a couple blemishes on my face. During that certain time in the month, it’s a lot worse in my t-zone. I used this product twice a day for a little over two weeks now.  I love, just like the clear complexion tonic, that it does not dry my face out AT ALL.  It actually felt good on my skin and didn’t burn even when I applied it to blemishes that….well…I just couldn’t leave alone.  I receive this product just in time to really put it to the test during that monthly time.  While I can’t say I was zit free the that whole time, I can honestly say that I saw a great reduction in the amount of blemishes I usually get at that time. So yea, I’d say it’s effective. Price $35

4.  Boscia Recharging Night Moisture

There are several botanical ingredients in this one including: Soybean to balance skin with hormonal changes, the antioxidant Jojoba leaf, and Willow herb.  I did not need to use a lot of this product . I used about  2 dime sized drops at a time. I dotted onto my cheeks, forehead, nose, and chin.  This moisturizer smooths in easily and feels great.  You get a slight hint of the soybean smell.

This moisturizer is supposed to help strengthen skin, diminish wrinkles, and promote new cell production.  It feels great on my skin.  One of my concerns, (given my teenage-like breakouts) is I’m always afraid a moisturizer will be too heavy and block my pores.  This did not.  It made my skin feel great. Price: $33

5. Boscia Lavender Blotting Linens

Last but certainly not least are the Lavender blotting linens.  I have to be honest. I’ve seen blotting linens before. I’ve never bought them. I guess I really didn’t understand the purpose of them. These blotting linens coming in a cool compact package that easily dispenses the linens.  The Lavender scent is beautiful.  I caught myself opening the pack sometimes just to smell it for a calming moment.

I tried them.  I used them mostly along my t-zone. With the humidity we’ve been experience as of late in PA, these came in handy.  I think this may have been another preventative measure in my decrease in breakouts with the Boscia products. I had no idea how much oil was actually on my face until I used one and looked at the little linen.  Eww!  There are 100 sheets in one of these packets so again, will last you a while.  Price: $10

Boscia Extras:

— Boscia’s website also has a Rewards Program.  Every dollars spent is a point.  Every 300 points is a $30 Rewards Certificate.

—You can get up to 3 free samples with every order and FREE shipping on orders over $45.

Want to try Boscia but a little hesitant with the prices? I understand. I was looking over the site and found this great kit, 1.2.3 Preservative-free Kit, that contains Oil Free Daily Hydration with SPF 15, the Recharging Night Moisture I reviewed in the same size, and a Purifying Cleansing Gel. The kit is $19 which is a great deal on Boscia considering the Recharging Night Moisture is $33 by itself.  And don’t forget to get your free samples!

Review summary:  While I wish the prices could be a little more affordable for more people, I feel the products do work.  Of all the products I tried, it’s hard to pick a favorite.  If they told me they were going to take all of them away from me except 1, hmm I’d probably ask to keep the Clear Complexion Treatment with Botanical Blast.

  1. Great review! It is true that beauty products can be very expensive but if you want good quality you have to pay the price sometimes. Thanks so much for visiting THe Foodie Mommie! I am following you back!

  2. Hi Angie, When the price gets a bit high, the next best thing is to learn to make your own chemical free skin care products. It can be done with a little study. Thanks for stopping by my site and becoming a follower. I am now your newest follower. 🙂 gerry
